BACKGROUND
What is CHANGE LAB ®
There’s something different going on here. This is not the same old lectures and videos. Nope.
We’re talking interactive. We are developing a gamified software classroom for fundraising training-
a fun, crazy, engaging experience. Oh, and by the way, fun and crazy is how we all learn best. We
have invested the past three years into developing a highly engaging learning experience that works.
Developed by senior nonprofit leaders and headquartered in downtown Los Angeles, it is fully
launching in Q3 2022 ( www.yourchangelab.com .)
DUTIES
You will assist in researching, organizing, tracking, writing, and submitting grants on behalf of the
Change Lab, while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Responsibilities include:
• Learn how to access grants information, research potential sources of funding and maintain
records that are accurate with an attention to timeliness, efficiency, and transparency.
• Write and submit proposals. Update and maintain records. Prepare grants reports.
• Track the grants cycle for progress post submission. Review grant awards for compliance.
• Work with the team to develop and maintain all grant agreements pertaining to grant awards.
Grants Received
• Maintain record-keeping of grants received; oversee acknowledgement of grantors.
• Provide on-going updates to nonprofit fiscal sponsor Social Impact Fund to provide
updated grant notification and to aid in compliance once the grant is received.
Grants Research and Grants Writing
• Research new granting sources of support of Change Lab.
• Write LOI’s (Letters of Intent) & proposals, maintaining accurate records and reports.
• Follow-up with grantors to determine decision-making process and what
materials/visits are required. Provide updates to Founder.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have an interest in non-profits and is looking to add to their entrepreneurial and professional
skills. Ideal candidate works well with a team and independently, has a flexible schedule that allows
for 2-3 days per week in the DTLA office: preference for W-F. Important that the candidate is
interested in committing to roughly a minimum three-month engagement.
COURSE CREDIT OR STIPEND
Job Type: Internship. Student course credit is offered, as available with your school, or for non-
students we offer a stipend of $300 stipend/at 3 months of successful work.
